I began collecting the ‘Series’ Minifigures, from number 18. Since then, I have gotten many of the previous releases via Bricklink. I am somewhat annoyed at the boxes that they now come in. When they changed from bags to boxes, there were some vocal responses to the idea and execution, but I am just getting to that point. The argument has always been about feeling the figure parts, inside. This helped you get ones you might not have, or bamboozle you into thinking it is one, when it is not.

There has been a clear increase in multiples of the same figure since the boxes arrived. The previous series saw me collect an additional seven ‘Afghan’ ladies (The one with the big dog!) I am now in posession of two extra space girls that can be found in the new Space Series (26). I can see this not going in my favour and feel that Lego are taking advantage of the ‘it’s more sustainable packaging’ outlook. I am now on five out of twelve possible figures, I am trying to decide whether to just cease purchasing them and buy the few key ones that I like, from Bricklink, in twelve months time. That saying, the figure plates are magnificient, having a starry graphic on them.
