This is another quick rant about modern life, but not entirely negative. We use apps for so many parts of out lives, now, that we often rely on the phone or tablet to take charge. When apps work well, they can be time saving and quite the boon, but when they don’t, it is a bit of a bind. The issue is that companies go all in with these apps and move to a model that relies on them, hard!

My rant is about this. The other day, I was in McDonald’s for a cuppa, and order on the app, like I normally do. The McD’s app is not the best and often has issues. It will either mess up on payment, stall or simply not load in availability properly. On this occasion, there was quite the conundrum. Ordering myself a coffee and, Steph, a Hot Choccy, I was met with an anomaly. I was able to order a large coffee, but not a large choc. It takes little thought to realise that they use the same cups, so asked the assistant, that brought us our small drinks, if the ‘button’ had broken. This was, of course, jovial, as the small ones were fine. She did speak to the manager as it was a strange thing for even this app to do. I know it’s not serious, and there are big issues in the world, and it isn’t really a rant, I just thought it was silly and atypical of an app that has given up for the day!
