Just a note to update on the Neptune 4’s new life. It is printing great, and I have already modelled and created a print that is larger than my previous capability. When you start it up, you place the USB stick into the machine and find a pre-loaded G-Code file. This is to be printed first. I expected it to be the little boat, known as 3DBenchy. If you know the little boat, then you have been introduced to the 3D Printing world’s, ‘Hello World‘ equivalent. It is a must print for anybody new to the hobby.
This turned out to be a little Buddha, which is super cute. The detail is amazing, even if it did sit in the middle of the print-bed, similar to a single football player on the centre spot! The fan-bar is quite loud, once it kicks off, but in general, it is a beast of a machine and more than I could ever need. There was a couple of blemishes on the print, but nothing that I would have a problem with, perfectionists maybe not so much! Joy!
