Just a quick mention about my new found joy for Farm Simulator ’25. I used play a bit of the 2022 edition, but it felt a little boring, being dropped into the life of a full-time farmer, with no training or gentle pursuasion. This time around, I have decided to follow some of the Youtubers that play it. I have started from scratch, with a few fields. Instead of having no money, I want to get machinery and a couple of buildings, so went for a cool one-million to get me going. What can I say, farm machines are expensive…but epic!
This series has been going for some time, now. Giants Software have spent years creating this, adding to each edition, making sure that known makes are available to play with. After I had finally got my machines and moved the tools to my yard, I did a quick mow and baling session. I created two ‘very-large’ bales that now needed to be placed onto my new trailer. What would you do? I decided to buy a skid-steer that wasn’t heavy enough and will simply fall forward from the weight of the bale, when I use the new pinching-tool.
My next steps will be to get the large skid-steer. It is at this point I notices how little I had left of the one-million Dollars, so I shall now opt to sell one of the tractors and the old steer. If you like machinery and the idea of being a farmer, especially if you want to do it from the comfort of you chair, then this is great. There are various ways to farm that include animal husbandry, crops, rice fields and lumberjacking. What more could you want? I just wanted to add this in as it has decided to come up on my with quite favour! Behold, my magnificent beard!
