A Fraction of a Set

The fun of getting your hands on boxes of old Lego, is the sections of a set, that you will find. Identifying the part is a skill and requires some digging, but a whole portion of a set, is quite fun, too. Looking at some of the part-sets that I have gotten, they can be identified by a few key points:

  • Brick colours and styles.
  • Stickers and graphics.
  • General state of the parts.
  • Other bricks that are in the box.

The part in the picture was in a box with no other obvious parts to support it. Can you tell what this is from, just by looking at it? The colours are give away! Searching through to find what set this actually comes from, took a short time, and was one of the easiest, overall. Sometimes, you find the majority of a set and can struggle to locate it on Bricklink. It’s all a bit of fun! Keep hunting! (Answer: Star Wars: Episode 2 – Geonosian Fighter 4478)
