I wanted to make a quick post about this new piece of equipment that I own. It’s not magic, it’s not expensive, and it certainly isn’t hard wearing. This is a cap-cage. It is used to keep your baseball cap in shape as it is washed in the machine. The biggest issue with modern caps, is that they have a card-like material in the peak. This gets soggy during washing and ends up mis-shaping the bent shade.
I have tried it once, this time, on the Datev running cap that I found in the charity shop. It is now cleaner than when I bought it, so I am happy with what this little tool offers. The next will be my 2022 Download Dog cap. A trinket from the festival, and one that is now covered in sweat salt due to using it for running, when I started. So, get your hands on one, they are great, and even the cheapest on Chinese sites will do the job, just fine!
