All-in-One Socket Solution?

This tool is like a conundrum. I picked this up, quite cheaply, from Aldi, in town. The idea of it is that there are eight different socket sizes on one handle. Each one has a smaller, spring-loaded, socket, inside a larger one. The concept is great, but what about the reality of using it?

Workzone’s, 8-in-1 Socket Multi-tool!

My first impression is that it is quite cumbersome. Tight gaps are not going to be manageable with this, but open spaces, like that found on a bicycle, might be great. For now, I have placed it with my field-kit, where there is spare inner-tubes, a set of bike-specific tools, the mighty WD-40, and a chain cleaner, with brush. I think that this is great as an emergency tool, but only time will tell of how well it will cope with regular use, even if it is not given too much of a hard time. We have tried to create multi tools since the dawn of humans. It’s great to have everything in a small package. The most famous of these being the Swiss-Army knife, for which some became massive with a multitude of playable arms. I remember the huge ones that were for display, where a couple of the tools would open and close with motors. I haven’t seen one of these, for a long time. Anyway, what are your thoughts on this? Is there a multi-tools that you like, in particular? Just a thought, another rambling from the G-Brain. Be safe, y’all!
