Creating 3D Models

Over the years I have taken time to learn the basics of using an Open-Source program, called Blender. I wanted to create my own models that would sit in Unity landscapes. I wanted to address an elephant that has been in my room for some time. My biggest enemy, and the true elephant of it all, is ‘ME’. My own scattery outlook is plagued by a lack of concentration and draw to getting the job done. I know that I am capable, just not tuned to a single goal.

I have learned, recently, that I have made this site to create a ‘splatter pattern’ that is formed from all of the ideas that I am journaling. I hope to see a successful outcome from the paint splodges, each idea adding a snippet to another. For that reason, I want to add my thoughts, projects, media, legacy and life, to this. The pictures show some of my models that I made a few years ago. The wooden sign is from Doxey Marshes in Stafford, and I found it a relative breeze to build, as long as I had a guide on the other screen to keep me on track.

Above, are the models that I prototyped for a few other projects. I can’t quite remember the third one, or why I made it. The first one is of the bunker hatch from a game I designed, called Bunker-Dash. The second one is of a unit design for Project Lightfoot. I will create a post about this in the future, but to simplify, it was texture catcher for use on real objects to be transferred to 3D modelling. These models have not been updated since they were created, but were made to go on a Doxey Marshes terrain for Unity, that I started. I even mapped out the first section of the marshes, including the sign and pyramid. If I was to give somebody else advise, when creating 3D meshes, I would say that determination will make anybody good at it; passion will help you create your best work.
