On first look, it seems that I have more than enough space to work on projects, in my front room, known as ‘The Cave.’ With a ‘huge’ corner desk, I have my main-PC on the right-hand table, and the projects-space, on the left. With too much stuff in there, I am suffering with encroaching floor usage, making it uncomfortable to use it, at all. My idea is to put a couple more shelves up, this will hold some of my collectibles, then add a low shelf-side, under the whiteboard.

Using a battern on the wall and a metal leg for the corner of a 1.2m length of furniture board. As its length is okay to use, straight away, it is tidy and will be tough enough at 18mm thick. It is not going to be used for working, upon. I want it to store my component drawers and scrap. That way, I have access to it from the project-desk.

I realised that it had a sharp edge, likely benefiting from a bevelled corner, I didn’t want to cut through the tidy laminate. So, I decided to add a custom corner-buffer, making it less likely to jab me in the leg, as I passed through. The .obj file can be found here, or you can click the icon, below. You can see that it has made a great addition, making the space far more usable and offering me the chance to get rid of the awful under-desk drawers, amongst other bits that are no longer needed. These shall be donated to my local charity.
The end result is different to what I came up with at the beginning. After a failed, first, print, I did it a second time. Version 3 was ready to go, but I realised it needed a little adjustment, so the file is now the final version, that being, number four. I will make the change to the physical print, as not to waste any PLA. This is where the Dremel will get the job done!

And…finally..I have installed it and started its utilisastion. The sideboard looks good and the corner-guard is stuck down and had completed the build. Another happy project, complete!
