Having built many sheds and bits in the past few years. From the blue shed in my back garden, to the bicycle canopy across town, I have found different ways to repair and affix panels. I had always felt unsure about the strength of my framework, thinking that my construction would be, somehow, sub-par to other’s. But this is not the case.

Upon the start of a project, consider the points that materials are fixed to. Looking at the frame for the bicycle canopy, you can see that the three sides of the space are all being used to support the structure. The left and back walls have fixed beams on them and the right post is fixed with an upright. This ensures that it would stay-put. It’s just a ‘post’ to tell you that practise will help, but confidence is key in knowing that you can. Forethought is what matters, consideration and practicality is the winner of your projects!
