As outraged as I am, I, of course, have time to write about it! After a few years, I have finally removed the stairlift from the stairs. My late wife had this for a few months before she passed-away, so it I swear new. It was never removed and reused, so time was up. When I say that I fell out with it, I mean I was in a fit of rage! (Not really, just seemed like it!)

Removing it from the stairs was easy, it was pulling the rail apart and getting the awkwardly heavy seat out of the door that made it difficult. I cannot explain how much weight is in this unit, but a huge sigh was just heard coming out of my mouth! I am going to repurpose the amazing motors and keep the aluminium rails for another time. The rest will be thrown away, sadly. It was to be kept for use by someone when they needed it, but two things are now apparent:
- It is hard to store and it is quite clear that those that install them should get a raise,
- and…I despise it!
That is all for this rant…all I want to do is shout at it. When I dragged it into the garden, after ripping the Lino, I was quite angry at it, I’m not sure how the neighbours took it…I could always ask…if they’d answer me.
