I decided that I would get another minifigure, at the weekend. These boxes have become a bone-of-contention for me and many other Lego fans. The old bags were better as they alllowed you to feel the minifigure and get an idea of which one it might be. This was a part of the ritual of purchasing them. Now, the box, changed for sustainability, makes it a truly blind experience.
It got me thinking, at the point of purchase, and upto it being opened, it felt like a Schrödinger’s Cat moment. At that point, it is a figure that I have already, and a figure that I don’t. Turns out, it was my third Xenomorphic creature. A sad time and another failiure to get a new figure for my collection. The boxes are…for want of a better word…trash!
