As a gamer of yesteryear, I have always found that you can see environmental and circumstantial similarities to what you see in digital form, cast out to real life. There are interactions and sounds that make their mark and remind us of joy found within our favourite playing fields. This is not about that, though, I could talk about the way that typing can be seen in my mind; it’s something of a flashback from my Internet Relay Chat days, but not this time.

I am now seeing Lego bricks all around me. Spotting where parts fit and how they can mimic real-life spaces has become quite normal. I imagine this is not unique, but is still a strange concept. Spending most of your life fitting bricks together to form buildings, boats and battles, has a sense of ‘second-nature‘ about it. Over the years, Lego has tried to create ranges that make things fun, but feel familiar to the player. This is real-life ingredients, and so, there are ways to build eveything in the world, and ways to see them in their individual parts. I just wanted to add this as something that comes naturally to me; does it to you?
