New Shelves for Old Lego

I wanted to take this time to add the new addition to Lego storage in my abode. I am always looking for ways to store the vast amounts of Lego, so this has been planned for some time. It isn’t being fully utilised, right now, but the overall look is complete. Fitting them was a bit of a farce. The usual plasterboard walling made it harder to fix the battens, securely. Once the shelf boards were trimmed, I pushed them into place, with tightend the battens up, anyway. It is a much better use of the space, at least more workable than the mess it has been for the past five years.

From messy to tidy!

Housing a mass of carrier-bags, cleaning products and old craft papers, clearing them out offered quite the pleasure. As you can see, the new sets and the collected ‘used’ tubs, sit nicely on them. The plan has always been to store the excess sorted Lego, into here. This would mean that the sorting space can be rotated, easily. That will still be in the plan, but for now, it’s a great space to store these. The only trouble with having so much Lego, is that there is only so much space!
