Playing with My Garage!

I began watching Skapegote play on My Garage, and realised, very quickly that I needed to have a go. The modern interpretation of this game is to replace parts on cars, tidy them up, sell them or just build you own and race it around the map. This last sentence does not do it justice and I would implore you to have a look at his videos. It has a real edge to its gameplay that make you feel at ease with swapping an engine out, but enough to make you feel like you have achieved something. I have played around 6-7 hours of it, so far, and find that when I have time, a quick hour of fixing up a pick-up truck, or two, is quite relaxing.

I began with getting a small truck version of a car, called a Niv. I am really taken with this model, but as soon as I wrecked the first one, I slept and went to the junkyard to grab another…as soon as one spawned. You can have a number of cars that include huge V8 trucks, to a cool 70s looking rally care. Parts are offered in performance, too, so you can hill race, if that’s your thing.

The only way for this to be put across, is to watch and then try it (Skapegote started playing more than four years ago and it has changed, a lot!) There’s a small learning curve, but you feel achieved, so it really is worth it. I have rebuilt an engine, changed the suspension system, and cut and added panels. It is still in Early Access, but on sale, it is more than worth it and I would say that paying full price, still is, and something that can support the developers. It’s on Steam, but I would love to see it on a console, maybe a Switch, as the touch screen would shine for this style of outcomes. Just a quick mention, I love it! (Images are taken with a camera on to the screen, so sorry for the quality, these were from my updates to Steph!)
