Robots in the Kitchen

Ever since the 50s, we have been keen to see the emergence of robots doing all of our chores. The Jetsons had Rosey (Rosie on some sites.) A housemaid with a sassy attitude. She did all of the boring household chores, fixing up dinner and vacuuming the lounge. This ideal was comical, but we have wanted something close to this ever since.

Rosey character is the property of Warner Bros. Discovery

For the past few years, Moley have been developing these chore busting machines. The creation of arms that produce food and clean up after them have been a reallity since July ‘2020. Whilst we were all stuck indoors, they were designing a new way of being. Domestication became automated! Looking at the site’s news page, you can see a change in development. New features are added to the ever adaptable chromium arms. What a future we shall have.

I wanted to mention them, so take a gander at the new wave and see how close we might come to a Rosey of our own. It may not have wheels or quick returns, but if dinner is ready for you at the end of the working day, then it’s probably worth it.
