In the last two hours, I have, for the first time, seen the advert for Save the Children. I wanted to dedicate this short post to raising awareness of them, and what they do, by linking to the 2025 media output. This year sees them using festive pop-culture to enhance their visibility. I adore this concept and have had a thing for advertising, for decades.
What we see is the use of ‘lit-up,’ red, articulated, trucks. They are in a line and can be seen heading down the road from afar. A young lad looks from a snowy hill-side and sees the trucks. He runs down the hill and through a broken fence. As he reaches town to see the oncoming brightness that will stop in town, we see the lights go off and soldiers stopping them at checkpoint. This is all about what some children need, whilst using the delight of Coca-Cola’s, Christmas, aesthetic. Please take a look, and consider the children that are in need. Like I said, it’s just a quick mention, but I think that it is the time of year to bring this up and hit the heart strings, what do you reckon?
