I am not a die-hard Disney fan, it I do like to change up my Lego builds. This set is cute on the outside, and even cuter when built. I wanted to alter this week’s set to be different to the previous year’s builds. This was it! It is an average build price, with the Disney licence always demanding a slightly higher price.

I only paid £13.99, which was an attractive option, especially as a small gear change needed to be addressed. The design is quite sweet, offering some great shapes, that for the body and head of The Lion King’s cutest character. It is clearly made to be an ornament, with moveable parts. To the builder that is a big Disney or Lion King fan, then this will do very well.

I didn’t really find any issues with the build. It formed well and I can see children loving the build process, owing them a fantastic display to enjoy. Sometimes I build like an artist layers a painting. You can’t always see what is being produced until it suddenly appears in front of you. The two core parts were like that with bricks slowly shaping the sculpture. I would very much recommend this to fans. Even so, I enjoyed it, and would happily build other Disney models, as they look superb resting upon the shelf. I guess the best way to close this, is to say, ‘Hakuna Matata!’
First Impressions – Another cute and fun Disney build.
