Set Review – 5356 Lego Quatro (Find)

Another around through the charity warehouse, I came across this. I have never seen them in person, but remember that when I was still a teacher, some nurseries had them for the little ones. These sets were released between 2004 and 2006. After a few seasons, they decided to pull them from sale. They act as a large block that is ideal for 1-3 year olds. I believe that Lego decided Duplo was good enough, so removed them from production.

What I found impressive, was the fact that Duplo fits onto these, and allows children to progress, gradually. Even though it is at least eighteen years old, this is in great condition and worth grabbing if you see any; I only paid £6, but have seen sets on eBay for as much as £20. If you have teeny children, it works well to encourage construction, creation and growth, also applying to their hand/eye coordination. The colours are as vibrant as ever and I can se the joy that new hands would have. A quick one, but it is woprth mentioning these finds, when they happen.

First Impressions – First time I have seen these, so was a must!

Price-Point – Unavailable new (A cheap buy, when it’s used.)

Time to Build – However long you want!

Score: 8/10
