I have become quite taken by the Dreamzzz sets since they were first released. I have a few to build for future reviews, but this one was a small set that made for a great ‘first one’. As usual, the build is great with a mostly untarnished task, throughout. The only issue that showed up, was that of the first two of three bags were open together. Smaller parts were harder to locate and maybe an issue for those with visual impairments.

If you read these reviews, enough, you will know that I am keen for as much accessibility as I can get. There are some great features that serve to help all in the enjoyment of this set. Primarily, it takes an idea from older sets, and that of 3-in-1 sets in the present, by giving you more than one option to build. It serves to keep children happy, when taking them apart will steer them to another option the next time they begin to construct it. There are no stickers! This makes me so happy.

I adore the artwork that is found within the instruction booklet, but would have loved to have seen the paper bags used. I can only assume, at this point, they are being tested across larger sets, only. I hope to see more of them. The overall product is lovely. Colours are magnificent and Izzie’s hair is dazzling. As this is the first Dreamzzz set I have built, I finally get to see how the Grimspawn are put together. Small, but interesting, their arms are shaped to hold what is best described as a large wand made from a purple carrot and a hook-clasp.

The hot-air-balloon is fab; the other option is to create the chariot, should you so wish. I was amazed at how balanced and strong the balloon is. It sits upright with no extra supports. The body is also hinged and allows for a small storage space, within. This set is not large, but offers a lot for the money. I paid just over £10 for it, as it was on offer. The usual price is £12.99. I would argue this is the best set, in this price bracket, to be offered. It is well worth the money and worth the time to build it, too.
First Impressions – Get your hands on it, you won’t be disappointed; not at this price-point, anyway.
Price-Point – Below Average
Time to Build – 25-35 Minutes (There are extra build options, too!)
Score: 8/10
