It’s another small set for 2024, and here’s a short review on how it hasn’t really sparked any enjoyment. Although the set is a short build, it has some very lazy aspects. It took me ten minutes to complete and was nowhere near the quality build that the Construction Roller was. For the same money, take another set, as this one is lacking.

I wouldn’t say that nobody would enjoy this, I am sure that Cityscapes would be well suited and like the addition of a landed fire helicopter on its pad, but it feels like it hasn’t been given quite the attention of other sets. Another £8.99 set, I wasn’t expecting great things, but other sets have proven that this price-point can buy you some sweet build projects. On a positive note, there are no stickers and the day-glow colouration is great. When I first saw it, I thought the shooters were weapons, but after a proper look, I could see that they were water squirters. The clips were pre-attached on them; another one for accessibility.

The key parts where it fails, is with the tail being simply unremarkable and the pilot’s visor shape being way too big for him. Sadly, at a distance, I would be wondering if this was a fake Lego set. The fact that it came from a sealed box and from a national chain of shops, keeps me happy that it is not. I understand that helicopter pilots often have large, bulbous, visors, but this one looks silly. As £8.99 is of the lowest price-points in Lego’s range, it would be hard to claim it as worth less. The best way to describe it, would be that it is one stage better than a Polybag Set, and not a good one, at that.

First Impressions – Another small set with day-glow colouring. Are they weapons? No!
