As per usual, the 3in1 sets are always fun. They give you the satisfaction of three options and are well priced. This set was no different as the end result is a fun and fabulous toy. Holding it even gives you the sense of a real camera in your hands. There were problems, however, and they showed themselves, very quickly.

The main issue was that of parts. Due to the 3in1 aspect, they needed to be opened up, all in one. This made for a mass of pieces all mashed up. With stickers in the mix, the accessibility is all over the place. I found that it was quite a tease, trying to find specific parts, with same colours blending into one another.

It’s not to say the build didn’t have it’s enjoyment. The fiddly nature added to the experience as the camera formed. It even boasted a pair of 135mm film sections that can be swapped out through its rear-hatch. I like this, but am sure there is a way to create a better solution to the mass of parts that are thrown together. With most of them having been used up, just for this, I am sure that they can be bagged in a more organised way. The design of these sets is a tough job, and there are always others issues to iron out. Even so, this was very nice. Once I had navigated around the mass of pieces, the build came together with a steady showing of each layer. On thought came to mind; having a strap that goes to one side was interesting and annoying at the same time!

First Impressions – A nice set with a great outcome. The build logistics needed more work.
