It’s time for the second of the four Rides sets. I do hope to get the other two, and for there to be a few more, as I adored the police car. Just like that one, the driver is baby figure, garbed in their orange, construction-worker, outfit. I chose this as I wanted to do a ‘Build with G’ episode with it, if anything, to show how cool these really are. I have noticed something about them, though, that I believe is why I am so fond of them…it’s all about the their design heritage. When you construct these, it is very much like a 90s build. I think about the time before solid chassis were added, and these help to mix and match the best of modern ideas, with the greatness of simple vehicles, from a few decades, ago.

The box opening see NO bags and NO stickers, so that is great! The canopy roof has a sweet elephants head printed on top. As a 5+ set, this is so helpful! Using the PDF instructions from the app, is very good for this, as the small booklet might be fiddly for bigger hands. Just a thought!

The time for this is short, but it packs in a lot of fun. Just like the police car, it is constructed from scratch, making you feel that it is by ‘your’ design. It’s a perfect party gift, or a great purchase with pocket-money. As of recording the build, I have purchased the fire engine, so look out for that one. Little Baby Isabelle is tiny in her small seat, but doesn’t she look so cool! This is the name that I gave her as it was built. Small sets don’t require much of a break down, but this one holds so much, with there being a lot of potential for more added to the range, in the future. This would make a fab group activity. Get this one, it is well worth it, I just need to get my hands on the racing car!
Note: Due to the YouTube embedding not working on the site, at the moment, here is a link for the video. This will go live at the same time as this post! https://youtu.be/97_eEM0Hkws
