Set Review – 71048 Series 27 Minifigures

It’s another quarter, and new minifigures have been released. For some reason, I tend to not register the time of the year, so come across the new display stands, a couple of weeks after. Either way, these are what Lego has to offer, now. There is the usual cute set of characters, each one having their own backstory…at least that’s what I see.

Collectors of the minifigure army, will often have a type that they prefer, for me, it’s the food-based ones. This series, has left them out. My choices for the top five, would be:

  • Pterodactyl
  • Monster-Face
  • Stargazer
  • Space-Suit
  • Steam-Punker

Like all other series, these have the ones that are fancied and the ones that are collected due to being in the lot that was bought. It is still apparent that having the boxes is a thorn in the side of the collector. There’s only so much that can be said, but I like this set, even without the foodie options, there is something for everybody. My purchase of the first three, was that of the Cherub, the Pirate and Wolf-Warrior. They are all cute, but as you can see, they are not on my list. What’s to say? It’s worth the purchase, as always.

First Impressions – Another cool series of sweet minifigures.

Price-Point – Same ‘ol Price!

Time to Build – Not-Applicable

Score: 7/10
