Set Review – 71805 Ninjago: Dragon’s Rise – Jay’s Mech

It’s a little set, today, but don’t let that fool you. There is a lot on offer for a set that costs £8.99. What attracted me, other than the low cost, was the fact that it had four minifigures. I’m trying to think of another set that has this many, at this price-point. It begins with two bags and NO STICKERS! Yay! The first thing that makes me happy, is the fact that it has a 4+ vibe. If you have seen other 4+ posts, you will know that I adore these.

The instructions have a lot of multiplied builds, saving pages. I’m not a big fan of this, as it can cause confusion if you miss the black text. the overall build is as simple as you’d expect, but it is a cool add-on. I love the Ninjago Mechs and the fact that this one is teeny, is super cute. I would not be disappointed to buy this as a party gift. It offers more than the size and price-tag has applied to it.

Lego have started making more of these Battle Packs, covering beyond that of the original sets for Star Wars. They offer a few extra figures, and this is likely the comparison that is being made, as these sets have Stormtroopers, Clone Troopers or Mandalorian Warriors as the core pieces. Get your hands on this, I am pretty pleased with it.

First Impressions – Lot’s of fun in a teeny package!

Price-Point – Below Average

Time to Build – 25-35 Minutes

Score: 9/10
