I found another mech to build, and this one is a cut above the others. I’m a big fan of mechs, and love Ninjago, so I adore it when they smash them together. Just from the box images, you can see this one looks more chunky and ready for battle. What might sell it, is the huge sledgehammer Cole is carrying! I managed to pick this one up in a sale for £12.99, but even at the standard £18 price tag, it’s a good build to get. Just know that you can get it cheaper…

As you can see, the set has pappy-bags, so this is great, with even the smaller ones being them, too. Spilling out the bricks, the colours are fantastic and really pull on the earth values of its design. It begins like the others, but soon adds parts to bulk up the legs and arms. Even making the torso, it feels like you are building it up in layers. You mix the dark and transparent orange bricks, when suddenly a cool body is formed, ready to sit Cole within. The end build offers a playable set, ready for battle, whilst looking great as a display piece.

There is not a massive amount of things to say about this, but I can say that I love it, highly recommend it, and if you like mechs, Ninago or both, then buy it. I do intend to create a display for all my mechs, but for now, he sits next to the Hey Duggee gang! I do like that this has a different angle for its build. There are only so many options for the same shape of set, so any innovation is a nice touch. Oh, there’s no stickers, either! What a joy!
First Impressions – This is an interesting mech build, it seems better designed than the previous ones.
