Set Review – 71807 Sora’s Elemental Mech

Finding a new Mech to build is always a joy, for me. This one was quite the surprise, though. The size of it appears to tower above others that I have built. It feels like it should, when a Lego figure is sitting at its feet. It is only the second set to have paper bags, instead of plastic, which was a nice plus! On the whole, this was a great build. At the full price, it is still worth it, but I will admit, I may not have picked it up without the sale being on. Ninjago is a lot of fun and the colours are just fantastic. It has the usual Mech additions with large weaponry and a place to put the driver’s swords.

No stickers means that I am a happy bunny, and the build-steps were very clear. The extra tree is a bit lacking, but it is made up by the addition of a Wolf-Mask enemy. I like the idea that these can be mix-and-matched with other legs and torsos. This is what gives it its ‘elemental’ name. The back of the box makes this clear.

It is a sturdy build, and Sora looks fabulous atop the hulk. It’s another enjoyable add-on to my growing collection of Mech Suits, much of which are from the Ninjago ranges. I would say that this is another brilliant gift. The playability of such a set is what counts, and any kids in a battle with this will be pleased with the build’s outcome.

First Impressions – Another great mech from Lego. At a sale price of £12.99, it was a bargain!
