We have another of the battle packs that Lego offer. I have talked about these in the past, and the idea is being used in other ranges. This one, is an original one, though, one that has come from a line of Star Wars battle packs. The first one I had, was a Mandalorian one, with a a few different Mando-Soldiers. This one, has a set of Snowtroopers, and a Scout Tropper thrown into the mix.

Like before, this is designed to be added to an existing play-set. If you are running a battle on Hoth, this would be a great addition. There was a point when people would buy multiples of these, to get many of the same trooper figure. I have seen displays that have hundreds of Stormtoopers, rallying for the Imperial cause.

This is an incredibly fiddly set and is best suited to careful building and likely support from a grown-up. (I am reviewing this as I build it. Trying a new way of doing it, then writing my thoughts, as I have them!) Even so, the Speeder Bike is a fabulous build. The detail, with so few pieces, is inspiring. The section of white landscape is bit ‘meh,’ but is adds to hold up the price point. They range from £12-£25, but are removed from the site, often. This usally means you need to find them in old stock, that’s where Amazon helps.

The overall result is great. I love the complexity in such a tiny set. You could easily stretch this out to an hour, taking your time to enjoy building it with you little ones. The turret is magnificent and has a firing mechanism included, so it is set to go. I love that the skin tones are divers, too. There is a clear difference between the lighter tones of skin, the hispanic and black individuals. I love that we are really opening out and that Lego are happy to make play far more diverse, bravo Lego!

First Impressions – Playtime fun when added to another set. Extra figures equal bigger battles!
Price-Point – Average (Way above average, now!)
Time to Build – 20-30 Minutes
Score: 9/10
