Set Review – 75368 Darth Vader Mech

Squeezing another mech into the review stream is always possible, as my love for mechs is never waining! I’m going to place this one next to Luke’s X-Wing Mech, in fact, I’m going to bring all of the Star Wars mechs, together! There is little to say about the build as they are all similar, however, I can say a few things that feel unique. I can’t believe that it is already a retired set.

The body armour is shiny and feels very much like what would be expected from Lord Vader. Like Luke’s, the huge lightsaber is only adds to the fabulous design of this build. It stands firm, and feels bigger that it actually is due to the jet-black casing and Anakin’s head sticking out of the top! Every time I build one of these, I am aways impressed by the hands. The fingers wrap around to form a plausible structure. If those evil Sith powers ever fall off, then at least he has this to back him up!

This is a must have for Star Wars Lego collectors, and even better for those that want to play in a battle. Pairing this with Luke would feel like the old days, clashing the red and green lightsabers that were attached to my Kenner dolls. I can almost hear the lightsaber burning away, buzzing like they always do. Full price is £12.99, and at this cost, it’s a great gift or cheap build for the discerning Vader fan! Get looking for old stock, it’s a worthy purchase.
