Set Review – 77053 Stargazing with Celeste

It’s a small set for review, this week. I have quite a few of the Animal Crossing sets, now, and saw this on for £7.80, in Sainsbury’s. It retails at £9, so like always, they offered it at a reasonable price. There’s not a plethora of things to say about it, but the value is in the Minifigure. If you have played Animal Crossing, this is a character that visits your New Horizons island, on occasion, and starts the astronomical events in game. Making a wish when you see a shooting star aids in you receiving the Star Wand from her. Picking up star fragments can be used for crafting, later on. She was her brother’s museum assistant in Wild World. This is quite sweet, with a cool setup, that somehow has a huge moon, one that does not need a telescope to see it!

It does have plastic bags, but no stickers, so that’s a good point. Like other sets of this style, Mario, for example, it offers a few options to customise your play. They are solid play sets; should you have others, this will connect up as part of your island. Celeste has a fully formed head and is not a helmet, which is nice. She is adorned with a cute bow and sweet picnic blanket. I love the teapot on this, not seen one like this, before.

What a nice stargazing setup!

The purple flower heads are very detailed compared to the older styles, with the tree being the basic style that are found in the smaller sets. Lego like to use the barrel pieces to form long weaponry, but in this case, it is a good looking telescope. This is setup for addition to an island build, so it more of an accessory. As a fan of Animal Crossing, I would say that it is worth £8.99, for Celeste, even if you were to just add her and her journal to build you already have. It’s fun and a sweet little build for small hands.

First Impressions – A teeny set with some cool character!

Price-Point – Average

Time to Build – 20-30 Minutes

Score: 7/10
