Set Review – 7942 Fire Pick-Up Truck (Find)

I am slowly working through the finds, and this one is another smaller one. Even so, it packs a good punch. It’s not a long built, but the coming together of a cool truck and its utility trailer is quite fun. Little hands will make a lot of this and get much play from it, thereafter. Being apart of a box load, it is hard to give a price average, however it is a sweet find that hails from 2006. Like the others, the design is basic and feels as such, making it more fun, somehow. This is one found on the Builder App, so that was handy!

One thing it does well, is that it gives you no shortage of fire patrol tools. Inside the trailer is a hose spool, with a tool board placed above it to seal it in. On the trailer front are two storage boxes, one of which hold the oxygen tanks for our, smooth, fire-dude. The back of the truck has stickers, but being found means I didn’t have to do them! It has a basic cab, but looks very clean with the bonnet up to windscreen being, somehow, pleasant.

I enjoyed this build, if you see it, get it, I doubt is worth a lot, but anything below a tenner, is a good build price. It has a good feeling, and the build is not content with just being a model, the play is in there, from the moment you pour the pieces onto the table. I am loving these older builds, they feel childish but classic, so much joy.

First Impressions – This was an obvious joy, even when I was pulling the pieces back together!
