The Dawn of the New…Computer!

Having been an iOS developer, in the past, I am looking at returning to it to create helpful apps that will support me, but also be available others in the name of TSE. I originally walked away from iOS, as the goal-posts kept being moved, making it difficult to stay on track, when they wanted you to crawl across many different lines. I have been an iPhone user for more than a decade, so it was natural that I would aim for this system.

2023 Mac-Mini – Used – £349

Looking at the old iMac, its 2009 interior was showing its age. In fact, I bought a second iMac from 2012 (£99,) to then find that modern operating systems could not be used on it, at least not without modding the machine and turning it into a Hackintosh! Without the lastest two MacOSs (Sonoma and Sequoia,) you couldn’t use the developing kit, anyway! I am not into this, so I bought a second-hand Mac-Mini (£349.) I purchased it over a payment plan. This will only last three months. This 2023 model can use new operating systems without the need to hack it, and frankly, it looks super-pretty. I wanted to add this as a journal of when I made the new purchase, as I wish to mark my journey through the new iOS developing systems. It looks a lot more controlable now, though missing the old UIKit, might be a challenge.
