It’s all about the glue! This part is from the 1991 set, The Launch and Load Port. It is collectable set, and this one, is for the bin. The glue has destroyed it, not only for the mess on the parts, but the lack of give meant that the grand rig was snapped, as it has nowhere to go when under pressure. What a shame. This is not only about my distaste for unnecessary gluing of parts, but the way in which a purchase can be sour. I moderate amount of mixed lego, in a taped up box, was a gamble, and one that ended up a waste of £35!

The parts are mostly damaged 80s bricks, and there has been a clear pilfering of ANY figures! It was bound to happen, eventually, but the glue…!!! I have used glue for very few parts, usually ones that will be on display and have gravity against unfixed parts. Not like this! I just wept when I realised, not for the money, but for the 36 year old set. There are a few parts that have survived. The cargo-containers are cool. They have an engine and a dismantled tractor in them, ready to be shipped. There is even an updated version of the ship weight, in the box. Well, it’s an update from the original ones from my childhood, anyway!

Just a cry out to all! Please don’t do this. Even if it is old, it is a beautiful set from my younger days. But never mind, it is only Lego…yeah right! Who am I kidding! I shall quietly cry in the corner!
