Since I first created this site, a concpet that began in 2017, I have tried to find its purpose. It might sound odd that I would create a site without obvious direction, but that’s how my mind works. Ideas are fresh on the hour and there is no time to execute them. I have discussed the structure being that of a journal, my mind written down, so that more can benefit from the thrashings that bestow the pages. But, there is a true purpose!
After watching a YouTube video, I heard the word that describes it all. This word has been used many times in my past, and especially solves a solution for the programmers in the world. This word encapsulates the journalistic aspects whilst allowing for others to add to it in the future. The term Think Tank sploshed about for a while, but it’s a well used term, so this word will be the official term that will now be used. What is that word? Well:
REPOSITORY
WOW! I bet you thought it was going to be something that broke the world. The Internet would crash with the sounds of social media addicts crying in the distance. Repository has played a big part in storage practices. The digtial world is able to store their ideas and digital properties. They can share them with ease, or keep them locked away. I always feel that this word has a more sinister sound to it, but it doesn’t, it’s just my scatter-head playing its usual game.

So, from now on, this is now the term I shall use for The STEAM Engine. It is a repository for the storage of ideas that have come from me, but will see the likes of others adding their wares. My love of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths, is something that will never leave me. It is a grounding that I believe would have served me well in my childhood. Schools need to drive the idea that there is more than foundation learning and I plan to create the REPOSITORY to aid in that task.
