Years ago, there was only ever the raw grip of Lego peices to test out what you could build. The fun of gathering different shapes to make a basic outline of a car, was just the best. You didn’t mind the spikey push of corners into the skin of your hands and the sound of the bricks rolling across one another was what made my childhood. Now, we have Studio 2.0. A peice of software that allows you to use the majority of available blocks, and you can build anything!

I love the idea that you can prototype an item, using anything to form the plan that is inside your head. By bringing the peices onto the main stage, you link them together as if they were real. No mess, and great for a quick feasibility test. I have made a few things come to life, even being able to render the build as if it would look ready to pick up. What a gem! have a look at this, it’s worth a go and can work on basic laptops, too.
