I have been thinking about how some children appear inactive, often having anger or social issues. I have always believed that there is more to ‘disruptive’ children than just the namesake. Over the years that I taught, I wrote ideas about how we can mix up activities and try a selection of new hobbies. This could uncover talent that was not seen before, or bring the inactive into the active world.

Much of the time, boredom has a very negative effect on all humans. Children can easily slip into anti-social activities, when not embraced or engaged in alternative ideals. My key concept looks like this:
- Offer a set of different activities that showcase what they might like.
- Approach them with a hands-on outcome; how will they react when getting into the grub?
- Set the outcomes from a pre-approved understanding of the individuals loves, hates and mis-understandings.
It’ll never 100% effective, regardless of what is done, but I am sure that we can bring so many young folk into the fold, if they are simply challenged and given new roads to traverse. It’s just a quick thought, but another one that adds to my desire to see a better world, a world that drives all, not just the few that we consider worth-it.
