I was taken aback when I first saw this set in the charity shop. Known as ‘keys,’ these are used to easily remove stereos from the dashes of vehicles. This set is labelled with many different makes of cars and system manufacturers. Opening it up, you see then lined in their own pockets. Vehicle names, include:
- Volkswagen
- Pontiac
- Ford
- Fiat
With system companies, that include:
- Clarion
- Kenwood
- Panasonic
- Sony
By sliding these keys into the given holes, or slots, it releases the fixing pins and allows for the media unit to lift out of the dash-slot. It’s quite impressive. I have been unable to find this set, online, but others go for prices that range from £10-£25. Only paying £3 for this was just a bonus. I’m not sure whether I will ever need the Pontiac ones in the UK, but who knows, ey?
