Tool Review: Draper Expert Impact Driver

This was a useful grab. It is used to extract screws that are not budging by turning a screwdriver. It also helps to remover those that are chewed up. By placing the correct bit in the driver, you position it on the head and hit the end with a mallet. It then makes a downward jerking, twist, motion that is about a quarter turn in your desired direction.

By doing this, the two directions create grip on the fixing and turn it by mechanical means. It’s not a normal tool to purchase, but I was quite taken with it before I bought it off of Amazon. on the whole, it is well built and is like most of Draper’s Expert range. The small tin case is quite sweet, it reminds me of the microfilm case in 007 James Bond: The Spy Who Loved Me. It protects it well, and is a nice surprise when most tools are now un-housed and left to be thrown into your toolbox to get dirty. Excellent stuff!
