As promised, I wanted to document the new 6v and 12v charger that I have purchsed to give some old cells, new life. From a first look, it is robust and will serve it’s purpose. It is a lot smaller than others that I have owned, and is quite impressive in terms of its build quality. It was on offer at just under £14, from a normal price of £17.99. It just so happened that it had an extra percentage discount, bringins it down to £12.23.

Hooking it up to the first battery-cell, it has a clear display, showing the voltage levels and charging status. Allowing for 6v charging, gives it more than just modern cell charging. Old voltages and motorcycle charging are all available, so it is quite universal.
Upon it’s first use, it has a fan that keeps it cool. I found it to be quite loud when close to you; it was enough to make the radio a bit harder to hear. In general, if this was in a workshop, it would make no difference. I am surprised by how quick it is, and the tested battery has hit 99% in a matter of a few hours of charging. I am quite impressed. Not a bad buy, cheap, but it does the job well.
