What’s Next for D-Wing

As my workshop grows, I wonder what else I could fit in to my builder’s sanctuary. This is a question of both physical space, and that of what will be useful. My ultimate tool is a sand-blaster, but that will have to wait. It could also be a space issue, aswell. My next tool will be a twin bench sander. My aim is to get the Clarke version that sports a narrow belt sander and a 125mm disc sander on the side. This will be an incredible addition to the sides and be used often.

I like the idea of a scribble-board on the wall. I would need to make space for this, but jotting down ideas is a way for me to stagger through the plethora of notions that run through my head. I’m a big lover of notebooks, and this would be just another way to work though those jottings.

The primary need, is to keep it used and find a way for it to pay for itself. Small jobs can be achieved with this kind of scale. I am currently refurbishing a bass guitar, using it as a learning tool that could see me doing this as a standard practice. Whatever the future of my mini-D-Wing will be, I hope it’s the start of a half-decent and worthy learning space.
