We are now in the seventh month of the year and the fitness regime is ramping up. In the last couple of weeks, I have started liftiong weights and running more. I am now doing 1km jogs without failing after 200m. Although it is on a treadmill, it is hard for me. My build is not meant for it, so every metre beyond the one hundred marker, is torturous. I still do the 30 minute cross-trainer routine, with the level now up to eight. The sled is a must, doing five forwards and the same backwards over the ten metre track.

I am now doing eighty minutes in the gym, at any time. I have found that anymore than ninety, is to hard on my body. Nutrition is under control and recorded, daily. I am unable to reach the high-values that I need, but I am sure trying to get close to them! It’s a fresh ride. My road-bike is ready to go. I have recently learned that I will be a marshall at the Birmingham Triathlon, in late July. This will give me experience of the event styling and what to expect, come next May. Stay strong!
