This one was a doozy! Havind found this at the charity shop, it was a bargain at £4. It came with its box and had several baggies in the big bag, with it. Getting it home, I found that the satellite bags were from last-years Lego Advent calendars, namely, Star Wars and Friends. Inside the box were the unopened bags of parts for the bike. The issue soon came apparent that one bag was missing. This holds a couple of specific pieces and the chain links. For the most part, I found them easily and even had more than the 29 chain links that I needed, in population. I got stuck on one part, that eluded me for days, with a couple more having to settle with a different colour. That was a joy!

Once I found part no. 27940, I was on my way. It turned out to be a slow run, having many pieces missing, with a few changes made to part’s colours. The overall design is pretty cool, and the movement of the pistons is very twee. By the end of the build, I had needed more than ten pieces.

The end result is great, but not without some unwanted alterations. The bike is built to the specifications in the instructions, but using white on the front is not a choice I’d prefer. I will look to change this when I find more of these pieces in grey or black. It required a staggering amouint of the 90deg bracket. If you see one, grab it. As it is retired, it’s a nice build that has no shelf stock. But, make sure it has the chain links. I, for some reason, have many of the links, and with one arriving from Lego spares, I added it to the other twenty-eight from my spares-box. Cool, but a lot of work!
