I was thinking about when I built this set, and thought about how I had missed reviewing it due to it being a few months prior to this site’s beginning. Simply put, it’s an injustice to not give this a full review, but for now, I want to give it an honourable mention. I was given this set as a Christmas Build, last year. Quite the gift, it was a quite the build, too! There was talk about it being retired at some point during 2024, but as of this writing, it is still on the Lego website. This is great, as the chap whom designed it is given extra praise.

The instructions are beautifully written, giving background to the design process and how it came to be. There are homages to the film amongst the pages, with the front cover being that of the Kevin’s trap-map. What a gem! It took approximately eight-to-ten hours for me to create, building it over a few days. Each part is a treat, with my most beloved part being the OH-KAY van. Where would the set be without the Wet Bandits?

Each floor was built in turn and the traps placed within each module. Added to that, it the additional kitchen and basement section, with the treehouse attached via the zip-line. Making it in the past, means that reviewing is very brief, but I can say with certainty that it is a set worthy of collection. I have even kept the box for prosperity! Each figure is a great choice, with Old-Man Marley feeling like a bonus additoin. Due to time, Lego’s webpage for the product shows it in all of its glory. Take a look, it’s worth EVERY penny!
