There comes a time when you need something stronger than a strimmer for the garden. That machine is a brush-cutter. It has a spinning blade, rather than a strand of nylon wire. It spins faster, cuts more and is more often than not, liquid fuelled. I have mentioned before about grabbing the DBC 3300 Makita one. The trouble is, cheap is likely the order of the day, as it is likely going to be parts only! We have spent £75 on parts for it, so far, and I think it has broken engine. The crank turns over and there is compression inside the casing. I am to ready to give up on it, yet, but this is just a rant about it!

It was missing the header parts and had no pull-cord present. Upon purchasing one, the spring unsprung and I have found it difficult to install a new one. I am waiting for a couple of generic ones, so we will see how they do. I have also purchased a Sealey Spark-Plug Checker. I will report on how that does in the future. For now, I hope that I can t least get the engine running. I have been given a smaller brush-cutter to use on the brambles, so I will use that one, for now! Boo!
