I have been after a Cad Bane mini figure, for some time, and this set was the perfect provider. The overall build design is like that of the mechs…it is the same regardless of which version you make, they generally come together in the same way. This is, overall, quite a large, one. I do like the character of Cobb Vanth, so was happy to see where this set, led. Opening up the box, there are three, plastic, bags. I was quite amazed at the small size of the instructions, but there is no sticker sheet, so that is happy times.

This has been recorded and you can see the building by watching Episode Three of my series, Build with G. You might fins that much of the parts are quite small, so it is likely that this set will be better for the slightly older child. However, with supervision, this can be enjoyed, that bit younger. It is not a long build, but feels like it is, as the you are tasked with constructing each side, individually. It is quite average, really, and I feel its price is down to its license cost.

You can, as of writing this post, get this for around the £21 marker. This was what I paid, and I am okay with that. The extra up to £25, for which is the standard price, is pushing it over. I reckon a price of £18-£20 would be fairer. There is nothing remarkable about it, it is a set that is derived from the included figures, of which collectors would likely pilfer from the box. The vehicle is basic, at best, but does house a carton of Blue Milk, and a plant of some sort. I also placed Cobb’s hair in there, too. It has slider pieces on the bottom so that it will glide over carpet, and this is where it is best used, on the floor, fighting for independence of their local town on Tatooine.
It builds in three parts. The saddle section, the engines, and then the body. I did like how the engine was a clear homage to the Pod Racers of Episode One. The large flaps that hang back over a jet propulsion core. It was like they had found it in a junkyard. Though I won’t praise this set, if the characters are a want, or you like the Mandolorian and Boba Fett stories, then it’s good to have, whether that’s to battle, or keep on a shelf so you can look at Cad Bane, and say, ‘Yes, I have a Cad Bane!’

First Impressions – With many speeders available, this was sold due to Cad Bane’s existence!
Price-Point – Above Average
Time to Build – 40-50 Minutes

Score: 7/10
