I built the ‘Pizza vs. Fire Truck‘ cart set, some time ago. This one is a nice find that sees the dual between an aeroplane and an hospital bed. If you have ever seen the Red Bull Soap-Box Race, then you will recognise the cool design ideas that these are influenced by. These sets have been coming and going in stock, so I took the moment and bought it when some showed up, on Amazon (This set is sadly retired, now.) They are a simple, but gentle, build, so the overall build time isn’t going to be high. Just from the cover art, and the previous set, as mentioned, I know that these are grounded in play. You can enjoy these on the carpet, where you can consider making a ramp down, just like the ‘real’ street scene!

So upon opening the box, each cart was in its own bag. We start with the first being the aeroplane. I love the Amelia Earhart figure for the pilot, this is fantastic. She is even sporting the Biggles look. They come together quickly, but I believe this could make for a great game. Offer two children to pick the bag, from behind your back, and then give them the instruction booklet for it. You could then create that ramp and race them. I adore sets that can be built by multiple individuals. So much fun can be had, and adapted, here!

The carts are the same as the old set, using mag-wheels for the fixed chassis. They are designed for a 5+ audience, so you can’t expect a long build, but got those little hands, it’s fantastic. They have pappy-bags, which is great, and there are NO STICKERS! If you can get your hands on one of these sets, do it! I did notice another one that I don’t have. I now need to hunt it down. Look for that in a future post and video…if I can find one!
