So, I have made it back to the gym, and it went far better than I would have thought. I even managed to do 30 minutes on the cross-trainer, something that was very unexpected. I was delighted to see how the gym has changed. It is so much better than it used to be, with some great new machines and an amazing toy that I have really taken to.

The Tank M4 All-Terrain Sled is a marvel. At £2,000, it’s steep for the average athlete, but what a power builder. Rules state that I can’t take photos in the gym, for obvious reasons, so I will have to describe how it works. There is a strip on the floor that is made of false grass, with metre marks from one to ten. You can push or pull the sled up and down it, upto ten metres at a time. It sounds quite dull when put this way, but it is far more than that. You can add weight to it and adjust the resistance on the wheels to make it harder to use. It allows for a harness to be used so you can pull it whilst attached to its frame. I love this thing!
I feel great, today, my mental health is spot-on. I can’t recommend exercise enough for keeping you on top-of-the-world. There is one caveat, though…that lousy nutrition. Keeping refuelled is absolutely vital. I have taken to having chicken and rice in the middle of the day as an extra fill. It is working great and feel like I have progressed with my new understanding of how I face new health challenges in 2024. I hope to be thinner, stronger and confident in future months.
