Post-Covid in a Nutshell

I am often found stating that the world ended when Covid-19 began. It’s quite a post-prophetic statement at its core, but I use it as it was a change to life and is still effecting it now. Think back, if you are old enough, to what it was like in 2020. It was set to be a year of great vision, but all we got was a blast of isolation. Modern technology made things far better, we didn’t even need to remain in our family’s company, if our antisocial bone was acting up, we could move to the digital realm. I wonder, though, what the impact is, and what we still have to come.

Do you miss these? (2021)

It is without doubt that there is a ripple effect. Prices are blamed on wars, but we all know that much of what we see is a ripple effect of consequences. Holidays cost more because we are recouping the costs that were lost; the food industry is often found to be inflating prices. In the UK, we had a few of the main supermarkets caught in a loop of ripping us off, but what do we do…NOTHING…it was concluded not to be profiteering. A slap on the wrist and then keep going. I’m not saying that wars in modern years are not contributing, but it’s very likely a mighty excuse for 70% of it. It doesn’t take a genius to realise propaganda when it’s looked over, properly.

The trouble with a ripple, is its extension. Where will it end and the excuses cease? It was a very trying time and is now showing the cost to pupils that are doing exams. We know that the missed education was not ideal, but as a nation, we made the best of it. I have titled this as a ‘nutshell‘ post, but the truth is, there is no full shell to remark on; there is still time for it be filled, so we must leave it partially open.
