Once in a blue-moon, every so often, now and then, I get to visit the Lego Shop. Last weekend, I was in Birmingham, so what else should I prioritise? It’s a must and pretty much the first thing I do when getting off the train at New Street, in Birmingham. The atmosphere is fabulous, with so much going on. All of the colours blast into you when you enter and the staff are all inviting.

I was a little upset that my Pick-A-Brick tubs were no longer valid, having carried them all the way in my small rucksack. I will review the sets I bought, in the coming weeks, but wanted to mention the feeling you have when in there. It is an unmissable space, windows full of builds and wonder. There is a greeter and many tasks happening close to the door. There was so much to look at, that after three circles of the shop I still didn’t see the set I was looking for.
Fortunately for me, there was a few of them, so I finally got my hands on the small Space Lab. I of course gave the assistant a great review, after the fact, but it is a place that is so happy and full of equally enthusiastic individuals, I even enjoy going to the Lego Shop in Lego City: Undercover, so if it’s real or not, I’m a happy camper!
