Doing the Whale-Roll

It’s been a whils since I have paddled, but I wanted to add something about this, on my Blog. I used to work (It was not work!) with Learning Disabilities, doing Paddle-Ability for a local club. Since I losing my late-wife, I found it hard and stepped back. However, in 2021, I was captured in this beautiful image. All I can say is the there is never a dignified way to get out of your kayak, when climbing onto a canal‘s bankside.

Stone Canal, Staffs. – July ‘2021

Although the club had a dedicated pool, we were relegated to the local canal, due to blue-green algae. It was a pain, but made for some new things to look at. As you can see, I rolled onto the bank, something akin to getting out of the pool. What a memory, and what a joy for all of those people around me!
